SAAPA Committees
SAAPA appreciates and encourages the participation of its members. We look forward to your attendance at our monthly meetings and First Fridays, quarterly socials and other events. We also welcome your input and your expertise. Please feel free to share your ideas how SAAPA can continue to grow and remain active.
Below are a list of committees you may contact to get involved:
Membership: Develops initiatives to increase members and member participation in Association activities.
Socials: Develop and organizes Association social events, including but not limited to First Fridays, Quarterly Dinners and other events throughout the year.
Excursions:
Plans destinations for membership fly-outs, including post-meeting lunch flights and occasional multi-day trips.
Programs:
Coordinates and develops educational and entertainment programs for monthly meetings. Duties include locating speakers, arranging equipment and materials, if necessary, or each presentation, and introducing the speaker following the monthly membership meeting.
Communications:
Disseminates Association-specific information to its membership through available channels, including the Association newsletter, website (via the SAAPA.org webmaster) and email list.
Airport Liaison:
Attends the monthly Airport Authority meetings and reports updates at the Board of Directors meeting and the Association general membership meeting.
Publicity:
Contacts media outlets and partner groups to promote the SAAPA organization and its events.
